Budgets Are Stalling Firewall Deals. Here’s How Partners Can Get Them Moving Again

Firewall-as-a-Subscription

Every partner knows this conversation. A customer agrees their firewalls need replacing. Their teams are using AI tools, they are connecting more systems, and the threats are moving faster than their hardware was built for. They want to upgrade. Then the quote goes into the capital approval process, and the deal goes quiet. This year, that conversation is happening more often. Today we launched Firewall-as-a-Subscription to help partners get those deals moving again. Why deals are stalling Inflation and rising interest rates are increasing borrowing costs and shrinking capital budgets, and security is feeling the pressure. According to the IANS […]

Rising Borrowing Costs Shouldn’t Delay Your Security: Meet Firewall-as-a-Subscription

Check Point’s Firewall-as-a-Subscription Puts Advanced AI-Era Protection Within Reach of Every Organization Attacks don’t wait for budget approval. But firewall purchases often do, and that wait is getting longer. Rising interest rates have made borrowing more expensive. For a midsize company, a single rate rise can cost the equivalent of a branch office firewall. A large hardware purchase now means a harder conversation with finance and a longer approval cycle. Meanwhile, the old firewall stays in place; the network grows, and so does the risk. Security is urgent. The way organizations pay for it isn’t keeping pace. Check Point Firewall-as-a-Subscription […]

Fake Voicemail Transcript Emails Target 7,800+ Organizations in Large-Scale Credential Phishing

Automated voicemail transcripts have become part of the daily rhythm of enterprise communication. They arrive with familiar subject lines, system-generated formatting, and little human context, exactly the qualities that make them easy to trust and easy to overlook. Attackers are now exploiting that familiarity, turning routine call-transcription notifications into a vehicle for credential phishing. Check Point researchers identified a large-scale phishing campaign that exploits this shift in enterprise behavior. The emails impersonate automated voicemail-transcript notifications and deliver malicious Scalable Vector Graphics (SVG) attachments that redirect users to credential-harvesting pages, converting a familiar collaboration workflow into a potential path for account […]

The Top Exposure Management Questions Security Leaders Ask: Insights from Customer Conversations (Part 2)

We analyzed ongoing conversations with prospective customers to find out what buyers ask most. Below are those questions, covering how Check Point Exposure Management helps teams validate risk, cut noise, coordinate remediation, and report progress. Part 1 covered how security leaders think about asset discovery, cloud visibility, threat intelligence, credential exposure, and integrations. Once teams know what’s exposed, the conversation shifts to prioritization and response. 1. How do you prioritize which exposures matter? Security teams often manage thousands of vulnerabilities across applications, endpoints, cloud resources, and internet facing infrastructure. A severity score alone does not provide enough context to determine […]

PuzzleMask: The Prompt Injection Hiding in Plain Sight

Introduction Most prompt injection detection is built to catch the obvious. Encoding anomalies, invisible unicode, emoji smuggling, the signatures a classifier can pattern match against. PuzzleMask, a newly disclosed technique, sidesteps all of it. It embeds a policy-violating payload inside fluent, properly punctuated prose, and gets that payload past an LLM-based gatekeeper without tripping any heuristics naively looking for obfuscation on the input side. The technique targets a specific architecture that’s become standard in production LLM pipelines: a fast, low-cost model screens incoming input against a policy before a more capable target model, often running with high reasoning effort and […]

August 2026 Cyber Threat Landscape: GenAI Data Exposure Emerges as a New Enterprise Risk as Attacks, Phishing, and Ransomware Accelerate

Key takeaways GenAI usage continued to grow, with the average user generating 106 prompts in August, up from 95 in July and around 78 in June, while high-risk prompts remained present at 1 in every 43 prompts. Although August recorded the lowest high-risk GenAI prompt rate in several months, 86% of regular GenAI-using organizations were still affected by high-risk prompt activity, showing that data exposure remains a persistent governance challenge. By industry, Healthcare & Medical recorded the highest GenAI prompt exposure rate at 4% (1 in 25 prompts), followed by Software and Business Services at 1 in every 28 prompts. […]

Introducing the Industry’s First AI Network Firewall

AI has introduced a new class of network traffic. Prompts, file uploads, model calls, and agent actions carrying sensitive business context now traverse the network as organizations race to adopt AI and achieve their business goals. Traditional firewalls were never built to understand these connections, AI activity often looks like ordinary web traffic, leaving the firewall unable to determine whether a prompt contains sensitive data, an agent is calling a tool it should never access, or an application’s AI model is subjected to a malicious prompt. These challenges demand comprehensive protection, which is why Check Point created the AI Defense […]

Security Advisory – Action Required – Active Exploitation of Check Point VPN Authentication Bypass (CVE-2026-50751)

Check Point Research has identified active exploitation of CVE-2026-50751, a critical authentication bypass vulnerability affecting Check Point Remote Access VPN and Mobile Access deployments configured to use the deprecated IKEv1 key exchange protocol. By exploiting a logic flaw in certificate validation, an attacker can establish a VPN session without possession of a valid password, effectively bypassing authentication requirements. Additional post-authentication activity is required to access internal resources or escalate privileges. To date, the observed exploitation has been limited to a few dozen targeted organizations globally. One case involved confirmed post-compromise activity associated with Qilin ransomware affiliate. Customers using IKEv1 key […]

The Server Seizure That Affects Also Iran’s Cyber Operations

On May 22, 2026, Dutch financial-crime investigators walked into data centers in Dronten and Schiphol-Rijk and seized approximately 800 servers. The target was WorkTitans B.V., a hosting provider that, on the surface, looked like any other internet infrastructure company. What investigators uncovered, however, was something far more significant: a ghost operation built on sanctioned infrastructure, quietly serving as the backbone for some of Iran’s most active cyber espionage campaigns. The story starts a year earlier. In May 2025, the European Union sanctioned Stark Industries, an internet service provider linked to Russian information-warfare operations. Rather than shutting down, the people behind […]

The Network Security Problem No One Could Solve – Until Now.

Networks used to be simple. A perimeter. A data center. A set of rules a single engineer could hold in their head. That world is long gone. Every wave of enterprise transformation – cloud migration, M&A, hybrid multi-cloud, IoT, remote work – added another layer of complexity. Each with its own topology, traffic patterns, and security assumptions. The complexity grew exponentially. And security followed, manually – more policies to author, more configurations to validate, more vendors to manage. The part that doesn’t show up in vendor presentations is that modern network security runs on institutional know-how. It lives in the […]
